  1. How do I uninstall Locations?

You can download the Locations Uninstaller and run it. After running it, trash the uninstaller and you're done. This uninstaller will require you to type in your administrator password if you installed Locations for all users.

If you'd like to go about it manually:

Quit Locations by unchecking "Enable Locations" from within the preference pane.

If you installed for your user only, go to your home folder, then into Library, then into Preference Panes. Drag Locations to the trash to remove it.

If you've installed for all users, go to your hard drive, the into Library, then into Preference Panes. Drag Locations to the trash to remove it.

Go to your home folder, then the Library folder, then the Application Support folder, and trash the "Locations" folder.

Go to your home folder, then the Library folder, then the Preferences folder.

    • Trash the file net.codehackers.locations.plist
    • Trash the folder 'Locations'
    • Some users may also have a file labelled net.codehackers.Locations Helper.plist. Trash this as well.

    Locations will now be uninstalled.

  2. Can I use a VPN to trigger Locations?

This feature exists in a beta version, but the bugs are still being hammered out. If you'd like to help this feature along, I'm gathering data about various VPN configurations. Follow these steps to send data about your VPN configuration.

  3. Can feature X be added to Locations?

All feature requests are considered on an individual basis, depending on popularity and utility. A very useful feature for everyone is more likely to be implemented than something that is very specific to you.
